It's a new day, with clear skies. And the light allows to enjoy the impressive valley we are at. I'll follow it, along Indus river, towards Chilas. I have to deliver 120 kg of cargo there. And it's ideal, because this village is very close to Nanga Parbat, the first "8,000 m" peak I'll find in this trip. So I load the cargo, make all the usual tests and takeoff without problems.
I decided to fly low and slow, to enjoy the views. Short leg, no rush.
At this point, the Gilgit River meets the iconic Indus River. I follow it till the base of the Nanga Parbat (8,126 m), although I'm not able to see the summit from here.
Finally, a stunning visual approach to Chilas and a smooth landing.
The next leg will be not only a long and tricky one, but also probably one of the top legs of this tour. So, by now, let's rest.
