World Tour 2 - Leg 14 - Split to Dubrovnic

Short leg along the Croatian coast, with 5 passengers. It doesn't take much to prepare this plan and I easily takeoff towards the small islands South of Split, references for visual departures.

I quickly head SE, towards the mountains on the coast, that contrast with long large islands. There are small villages scattered around, with beaches of crystalline blue water.

The visual approach to Dubrovnic airport is tricky, since the only visual reference in the approach is a tiny island and there is no visual reference for the last fix, but it's impossible to get lost and I land easily. Approaching  here with an airliner must be interesting, due to the hills next to the runway.

Due to regulations, I could not fly over Dubrovnic, so I missed the beautiful Old Town surrounded by walls. But I'll come back in future with a glider, hopefully that is allowed. Now it's time to think about the next leg, which will be tough.
